ZTERM 2000 DOWNLOAD PAGE

This page is for Victorex customers and prospective customers who wish to download and install ZTERM 2000, a terminal emulation communication program that can be used to run our RPMRS (Resort Property Management Reservation System) software over the Internet. The download file is about 3 megabytes in size, and can be downloaded in anywhere from one to thirty minutes, depending on connection speed.

Caution, ZTERM 2000 will only run on 32-bit versions of Microsoft WINDOWS (WINDOWS 95/98/ME/NT/XP, WINDOWS 2000 & 2003 Server, and WINDOWS VISTA). Note the special comments below about installing on a WINDOWS VISTA PC.

ZTERM can be used up to 30 days without payment of license fees, after that it will no longer function unless a license fee is paid and a special license code entered into the program. ZTERM requires about 4.0 megabytes of disk space. It can be uninstalled easily.

When downloading, please note the directory receiving the download file, which is named "zt144.exe." You must execute this file to actually install ZTERM after it has been downloaded. The recommeded way to do this is select "Run" on the WINDOWS Start Menu, and to enter the full directory path and program name, then Click OK.

When configuring ZTERM, the defaults will generally work, except you should be sure to select "AM62 Color" for terminal emulation. Good choices for a font are True-Type Andale Mono (if available) or Lucida Console.

If you installing on a VISTA PC, you must be logged in with Administrator privileges. If you are going to run ZTERM as a standard user, then do not create a profile as Administrator, but log back in first as a standard user. One last complication for VISTA is that after configuring the profile as a standard user, you must login again as Administrator and right-click on the ZTERM icon, then under Compatibility click on Run As Administrator. You will also need to be logged in as Administrator to enter the license code.
